    Hi Fabio,

The more concise information you can give the easier it is to give you advice.

For example many Series vehicles have Holden sixes rather than the original Landrover one. Which one do you have? Distributors for the original four cylinder are easy to find but I am not sure of the sixes. Though if places like FWD here in Brisbane don't have them they would be easy to source from the UK.

However there is also not really anything about the distributor that should blow a coil. Is it a ballast coil that is running without a resistor or something like that?

    well, i explain...
last saturday in bribie isld, my landy decided to stop, and never restart again, didn`t have a spark; so i waited till monday for a mechanic, who charge 50 bucks for nothing, `cos the car start at first try....
So i drove to brisbane, and 20 kms before home stop again, so i pushed the car in the nearest garage, they took 2 days and $360 for change the ignition coil, but after 6 kms happen again...
The guy came out and replace the coil( in 10 minuts), and says: was just a defected coil, will never happen again...But in the middle of M3...
So now they says it`s not them fault, the problem it`s something else and i`ve to tow my car in to the garage by my own.
Regardless of them kindness, What can be?
I hope I was clear and havn`t digressed too much.
    However 10 minuts=$300, i want to be a mechanic...

If you still have a rover 6cyl then there are 2 types of dist for it the original lucas and a bosch as fitted to the army six. both can be found second hand in good condition, brian at land veh spares in sydney has the bosch one dont know about the lucas ones but he is usally pretty good and will send stuff anywhere had the same problem about 3 months ago had to camp at sussex inlet for 2 days waiting for a coil they already had

check the noise supressor on the points inside the dizzy (or outside depending on how yours is setup) they tend to play funny buggers with heat as do poorly set points especially if you forget to lube them or the spring gets a bit iffy.
