Hi all, I'm looking at options to reinstate some rear seats into my 1975 SIII LWB. Tossing up the different options and what is safer, better etc. I have one complete 2 person folding seat (the side facing ones) which has good upholstery and frame, but I don't believe you can fit child seats into a side facing seat and this would be advantageous. The other option is a pair of single forward or rear facing seats on either side that fold up (I've seen a few types that mount on the side part and have a leg that goes down to the floor) or a pair of rear facing ones that are in the floor area and fold forward.

Anyone got any ideas or tips? Obviously whatever I fit will need to be mod plated for rego and all the options I've listed should be ok and comply as long as they are done properly. Does anyone have a full set of matching rear seats for a LWB for sale in Qld? Or anywhere? I can get them new from the UK but postage is a bit steep. I have some ex army ones but by the time they are reupholstered in a not green vinyl and the frames repainted to match the car, I'd rather try and find a matching set.

I'd still like to be able to have as much load space as possible so folding seats are preferred. I also want to fit gas at some point and if the tank can go underneath that would be preferred but it may have to go in the back in which case it might end up being under the seat.

Ideas and inspiration are most welcomed.
