Distances measured between transfercase hub and appropriate diff hub.
Car #1:
Series 2a - originally (and now) a 2.25 engine - standard diffs - one ton suspension
Front: 60.5cm
Read: 107cm
Car #2:
Series 2a - originally 6 cylinder (and now a V8 - mounts in original position) - front diff standard Rover, rear diff Salisbury - standard suspension
Front: 70cm (means transfercase is 4" back)
Rear: 94cm
I also noticed the Salisbury rear oil seal needs replacing :( - I am guessing 4 by 4 will have one in stock ;)
Thanks John i'll measure mine in the morning.I'll write those down first.
Yep Peter has em in stock sold 2 last week one to me fitted to harry & one to Jim & Karen for Jerry's doormobile & i fitted that on satdy while they stoped in for a visit..
See pommy dave or Nic ..Karen paid Heaps there so dear a whole $11..
I just sent them an email - I need some bits for the Disco, too. Thanks for the price indicator. (I did mention you and Karen in the email. Terry knows me but the others don't - yet!)
The crowd in Melbourne have them in their catalog for $8 but you never know if he has them in stock. I have purchased the transfercase seals for the Station Wagon (the one with the Salisbury diff) and all the front axle seals and bearings. I should get a full bearing kit for the Salisbury diff, too.
Hope the measurements make sense with your problem.
