Introducing Lando Series III 109 1976

Lando was delivered on Saturday, sadly someone's dream had to be let go due to tough times, this is one very original Series III,very clean coming from dry part inland W.A. Has been rewired but couldn't be started (have started it now but not running on all 4,swapped some leads etc and running a bit better, doesn't smell oily but the radiator has bubbles so possibly has head gasket problem, oil looks okay.) Brakes and clutch need some attention hopefully not to much wrong. Steering box making a few noises (maybe no oil)
Wanting to keep this one as original as they come.
Will add more as it comes.
We now have 5 Series vehicles in various states of disrepair.

Anyway here's Lando, would love to hear your opinions (Yes I know I have a Series Disease)

Can someone tell me what parts are missing heater valve etc as the heater hoses go strait into the heater and the cable is not connected.
    Thanks Konrad

Just looks like the tap is missing, should be able to get the original part or a universal type that fits in the heater line should do the job. I seem to remember my old leyland mini moke had a very similar tap to the series 3 one on mine. I think that during summer the heat from the engine and drivetrain is worse that the heater anyway, at least in Qld it is! Thank goodness for the factory air conditioning (the 2 front flaps).

The XY falcon heater tap is the correct part that you need.

If you carpet it, cut some fibro sheet and duct tape at the joins to keep in place, glue some sarking under to line and reinforce the joints. Carpet over top. Keeps the heat under control.
