    dipstick for 2.6 ltr

Yeh Im a dipstick on a trip to hillend a couple of weeks ago I lost the dipstick for my truck. I havnt been able to find a replacment so far so what I am after is the measurments of the dipstick for a rover 2.6 so I can get somthing from the wreckers to relace it if nessasary. I will use the dremal to cut to lenght and mark oil levels any help would be appreciated

A question, How the hell do you lose a dip stick?

Unless it wasn't in it's rightful place

    Mine are all 2.25

4 Wheel Drives in Blackburn have the 2.6 dipstick listed in their catalogue but.....there are a lot of items in there that they don't carry any more.
I can't see dipsticks being a fast moving item so worthwhile giving them a call their part number is Q120 and it's listed at $11

You could reposition the bell shaped bit on a 2.25l dipstick. Looks like that's how they made them originally.
