    Choppy ride?

Good luck with that! A choppy ride is part of the deal in a SWB though I can attest to the benefits of cleaning and greasing your leaves to help smooth the ride out.
I have in the past disassembled my spring packs, used a wire brush in an angle grinder to clean the leaves up and reassembled them with a thick coating of bearing grease between them.
It smooths out the ride, softens it up and cuts out any squeaking. Its a messy job but it works well and is a lot cheaper than a set of parbolics.

On the subject of parbolics, have you tried Paddock Spares in the UK?
87 pounds for the front and 117 pounds for the rears. Just have to get a quote for postage...

    s3 trayback springs.

My old series 3 trayback was pretty tragic in the ride department with lots of bangs and rattles on bumps including cats eyes.

Spent two afternoons stripping and wire brushing the leaves before reassembling with moly disulphide grease.

Amazing difference in ride and comfort yet no apparent difference in load carrying capability. Didn't break any leaves carrying heaps of junk and firewood.

To avoid disassembly some moly dissolved in dieso or kero after a good pressure wash of the spring pack with the weight off the axle would probably give a similar result.

    Cheers

Probably a bit late but try FWD Motors in Brisbane, I bought springs off them from stock, they may still have some. Not exactly the same as the originals but the steel the originals were made with is apparently no longer available. I actually pulled them apart and chamfered and diamond cut the ends and removed a leaf from the front and two from the back and it is much more comfortable than the standard ones. I have had parabolics and was not impressed with the longevity, Sagging more than 70mm on the drivers side within a week for the ones from ****parts is not my idea of great .
