Haha! I must remember that...and I might also follow your lead on including the tax when quoting age...that would make me about 45 and a half...plus GST of course...

Damn! An underhead overhang...that sounds like a vital component...I'll have to get it down to the mechanic ASAP. No wait...paint shop first...might as well get the green resprayed before installing it...

    Hello to UNCLE HO
Ahh...so you were there that Saturday morning? The old mate did say there'd been someone there with an offer. Sorry about that, but I do love her...she's my first Land Rover and I've always wanted one. Just never had a good enough excuse until recently.

I'm having heaps of fun just puttering around...she purrs like a kitten! There's certainly a lot to get used to though with these old beasts...like the speed (or lack thereof ), the noise, the whimsical steering...but it's all part of their infinite charm! I've hardly driven my 'normal' car since I picked up the landy.

Yes, I feel like a kid with a new [Tonka] toy....

Damn, I thought a genuine Landy grease gun was a 20Ltr drum.

I've got one of them also in my original kit but the funny thing is from memory my 88 (1976 build) never had any grease nipples anywhere on it. Certainly weren't any on the original steering joints.

    What about the propellor shafts?

My 109" was the same in the steering dept but I did notice that there is a threaded plug on the brake pedal shaft that can accept a grease nipple. Mine had never been greased, so there is a bit of slop in the bush,

    Cheers Charlie

Correct there is one on one of the propshafts. Brake pivot bush is probably like yours with just a plug. Think if I get it back together there will be a few extra nipples going on.

    Cheers
