If you've benefited from one or more of my posts please remember, your taxes paid for my skill sets, I'm just trying to make sure you get your monies worth.
If you think you're in front on the deal, pay it forwards.
I've never had a shroud and never had a problem, in temps up to 35 degrees or so.
I would like to get one to prevent the fan spraying water about when wading, are they available?

Anyone who wrecks Series Landrovers is likely to have one - as a non-wearing part, second hand should be OK and easier to find, and a lot cheaper (probably) if you do find a new one.

Although a standard fitting in Aus, the shroud was an optional extra in the UK market. The only time I needed one with a 2 1/4 was after moving my radiator forward several inches, in preparation for fitting a longer transmission.
Wagoo.
Dunno where these guys live but if your above the tropic you'll want all you can get to help cool it.
thanks chomby i will get one but as coming into winter here in canberra it will be cold, and cold in the mountains. but summer is hot as hell and a shroud will be a must.....i have to get that life sucking gearbox back into action and get some seats from somewhere. then do the shackles and shocks and maybe try and find a steering wheel/ ....and then theres a roadworthy. got a leaky rear brake cylinder and a leaky swivel ball and diff seal. and then theres the clutch bearing and prob a clutch kit? W
Sounds like a shroud is the least of your worries. Though it's better to get it sorted now than wait till summer, plus it'll probably cost no more than a pink note. I just wish we got a winter at all here in rocky
