My Uncle had a 73 SWB Truck Cab that colour, so it must have been around for a while. One of my shortys tubs is that colour as well, but has a different colour on the outside.
Cheers, Mick.

When it comes time to paint, the bloke at the paint shop said it would be easier to match the colour rather than trying to dig up a code that may be meaningless anyway. When he does, I'll see if he can form a "code" with what he makes up.
What does everyone think the best way to freshen the gal bits up would be? I've got a can of that stuff you spray on welds when you're working with gal. I was going to use a bit of that somewhere inconpicuous, to see how that comes up.
This may help (paint codes)

Nothing dodgy going on here!
Emptied out the back tonight and found a few interesting spares.
Found this dash, is it from a series 2 or 2a?

Found this dash with a tacho in it.

Found all the stuff to do up the front brakes. The rears have been done.

Found a diff and axles. No idea what nick it's in or what type of diff it is. Looks the same as the ones in the vehicle so it might be a bonus. Are the diffs the same front and rear? I'm pretty sure the salisbury was in the rear of the 109s.

That was about it except for your usual assorted nuts and bolts and other unidentified objects.
Started to get the rear tub ready to lift but ran out of time and knuckle skin.
Cheers for now,
Marty.
i'd count the crown wheel teeth in the diff to get a clue as to what ratio it is, 47 teeth would indicate it's a 4.7:1, any other number and you'll need to count the pinion teeth as well so you can divide the crown wheel by pinion to get the ratio, standard ratios in those diff cases that i know of are 4.7, 4.3, 3.9 and 3.5, 4.7 is the standard Series ratio unless it's a stage 1 .....
there's no guarantee it will match the ones in your axles
So emptying the back of Bella, not only revealed some nice spares, but also this beeyoouutiful carpet

Which of course is held down with 87 cans of contact cement

Suggestions for removing contact please.
Moving right along, I undertook another workcover approved method of lifting a short wheel base tub from its chassis.
Ratchet straps around the cabin bolt holder thingys and over carport

The straps allow for some tilt while rolling forward
https://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/im...011/05/297.jpg
And finally support one side, remove strap and lower to the ground repeat for other side.

Having the tub off allowed me to get a good look at the rust in the right rear cross member. Doesn't look very nice but I'm sure there's been worse.
