Nice car!

I like the colour - I can't recall seeing it before. The roo-bar and and winch are a bonus and is that an overdrive sitting in the back?

My son's dog is called Bella and she leapt onto the computer desk yesterday, obviously to see your Bella

Yeah Chazza, thats an overdrive in the white bucket. I think the guy I bought it from said it needed a main bearing.

Bar is a little bent (adds character) and winch is supposed to be a goer but a bit noisy. I guess we'll find out down the track.

Dogs have a sixth sense like that, don't they.

I'm not sure of the name of the colour, but my brother's series 3 is the same.


The series 3 that won an award at the last Sydney expo was also the same colour.

That looks like a good start, the panels and paint look particularly nice.

Nice to see another 76. Mine was the same colour (now bare alloy and Galv long awaiting paint and reassembly. Anyone have the paint code? Spanish Olive does seem to be the consencous. It was only a very short run and the only ones I've seen were around the July to Sept build date. Mine was $5400 brand new ($300 off for some minor hail damage). Anyway you have your work cut out. Good luck with it.

Nice starting point for a ground up rebuild. The fire wall in my S2a was also alot worse looking than your one. So don't get too worried

Thanks everybody for your words of encouragement for me and praise for Bella.

I've made a bit of progress and so far Bella hasn't revealed anything I wasn't expecting.





The colour difference in the guards is because I gave the left one ( right in photo) a hit with the buffing wheel before I pulled anything apart. Me waste time....never!

The inner mudflaps are pretty sad, but there is a couple more in the back...somewhere.




This is a drawing that was done from a photo of my old 109 (1978-1989 R.I.P.) The scenery is made up but I'm sure this is where old Landys go when they're too far gone to save. Mine was burnt to the ground because a gas bottle running a fridge fell over, regulator cracked, pilot light ignited escaping gas, end of story.
