    Fuel tank repair

My brother is almost finished his SWB S3. He has purchsed 3 fuel tanks so far and all have had leaks. The one he has is the drivers side 10 gallon fuel tank. The only thing holding him up for his RWC is the tank.

If they are pin holes or seamseal leaks has he thought of putting a tank sealer kit in? Por 15 and KBS systems both do kits for around $150.00.
I have used them on a motorcycle before and have not had any problems in over 10 years of use.

I have one that Peterg1001 kindly gave me. Unfortunately I hadn't realised that I couldn't make it fit my car. I haven't leak tested it, and I'm not sure what handing it is (I can check that tonight) and there are no fittings so you'll need a drain plug, sender, etc. however you're welcome to it for the cost of transport if you think it'll work.

Series underseat fuel tanks are NOT "handed". LHS and RHS tanks are identical.

There is a KBS kit that they say is for a motorcycle. It is for a 45 litre tank (which happens to be 10 gallons) and is only about $60.

Seeing as you are going to be throwing about half of the stuff out at the end of the process (you are only putting a lining in the tank), I figured it was better to go for the smaller kit and have to waste less.

They don't even have any fingers!

Although with a series one tank you can get your hand into the tank!

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
