    Hullo everybody

I got my first (and only ) landy about 2 years ago,I have a farm with difficult access and sometimes have to walk in. A friend recommended i buy his father-in-law's unrego'd landy that had been used on his banana plantation near Coffs was a bargain and he had it serviced for me. The steering box has had its time but I made it to the farm no problem . It's been fantastic,I've fallen in love with it and now I'd like to fix her up and maybe even register the old girl .It starts every time even if left for months . It's got a 186 holden motor you can hardly hear. It is a series 3 cab chassy (?). The no's in the engine bay are 94320142C the last letter may be a 0,hard to read and it was built in the 8th month of 1977 . I'd love any info on this model. Do they come with diff lock ?.It seems to be stuck in low range but since that's all i've needed i haven't tried too hard to get it into hi . I'll attach the only photos i've got and i'll get more detailed ones soon . Thanks .( Mite need help with the attaching photo bit)

From the front, looks just like mine! Same colour, but I still have the original 2.25 petrol.
No, they don't come with diff lock- not as standard, anyway. You can get them delightfully hung with opposite corners resting on creek banks and the other two wheels happily spinning.... (I speak from experience).
The gear levers work like this: red knob should give you Low Range (rearmost position- also engages 4WD), Neutral (Centre) and High (forward position- lever vertical). The Yellow knob is used to engage 4WD when in High- it is pushed (thumped) down. To disengage, shift the red knob back to Low- yellow knob should pop up- may need a little encouragement, then go back into High (if you can).
Don't leave it in 4WD (ie Low range or High with the Yellow Knob down) when on tar or you will "wind up" the transmission and break something.
    Hope that helps,
    Cheers,
    Coop
