Thread: Rebuilding the 2.25

Now the head.. I cleaned it all with a soft wire wheel in the drill..









Regrinding the valves (lapping them) This can take a while if you want to do them properly..





Valves fitted.









Rocker gear fitted

More fitted.& some bolts painted













And try not to do this when painting

Brandnew fuel pump fitted,, Oil filter fitted with brandnew filter & O ring.& starter fitted..

Lets fit the head shall we..

head gasket on & pushrods in.





Head on & bolts numbered so can be tightened & in the right order.Saves going back to look at the manual..





All torqued up & bolts painted..







All the rockers have been adjusted & set correctly. brandnew thermostat fitted aswell.







Rocker cover fitted









Temp fit manifold & extractors to make sure they fit while engine on cradle.



Exhaust gasket on.



Inlet manifold cleaned up.

Brandnew electrnic distributor fitted & correct .You can see the rotor pointing to the number 1 cylinder..

Brandnew Zenith carbureta all fitted.

Lets put a BRANDNEW clutch on it aswell..

Had the flywheel lightly grinded



New spigot bush in

New throw out bearing & holder clip

Now all it needs to be fully finished is plug leads on order.Fuel hose & filter will get this week..Oil vacumn hose have most of them.& i have ordered all brandnew bellhousing studs & nuts should be here this week or early next week..So i'll put all those on ..All this engine needs is fitting to a car & fine tuned & away ya go.I have no use for this engine so its to be sold & i will put it in the markets sometime today or tonight..So if your after a vertualy brandnew engine PM me as i have one..Like i said you only need to put it in & fine tune & set the timing as i dont have a car for it i cant do that..Its all been set up staticly tho so fine tune & away you go..
