stage one engine change from V8 to ??? recommendations Please
Hi guys,
I have a 2.25L petrol in the shed and am seriously considering putting it into my stage one, rego in qld is ridiculous for a v8 with 10 seats and fuel bill is getting worse everytime i go to the servo,
- has anyone heard of or done this conversion
- does the lt95 easily fit a 2.25
- is there a better (easier) option (funds won't allow purchase of a isuzu but on the wish list)

Never heard of a 2.25 into a Stage 1, can't say I think there would be any improvement either.
In terms of other engines, I took a 4.2 efi out of my 110 CSW and replaced it with a Mazda Sl35 diesel, which by all accounts is a brilliant conversion.
Pulls as well as the V8, nearly 3 times the fuel mileage of the V8, and with the fitting kit from M&D it will bolt straight in.
