Stage ones...how many?
How many stage ones came into Australia? Anyone think they will be a collectors item or sought after one day? Reason I ask is that I have a stage one with a factory tray top and bulbar that I use to cart around 11tons of firewood a winter for my house..have been know to drive it fairly hard...they don't break!

In short, Stage 1's are collectable.
Pop on over to the "Stage 1" forum and say gidday.

I did not think they came with a factory tray top or bullbar. They came with a factory ute tub back and a bumper bar on the front.
is yours a v8 or diesel?

The stage 1 V8, was know as a Series 3 V8, or Series 3 , 3.5 model here in Australia.
Look out for a plate badge on the front wings.
All the V8 engines were built in the UK to OZ specs. look for 12g prefix
available in Bahama Gold, Blue, Masai Red and Sahara Dust, with silver wheels, and Arctic White Roof.
No deluxe trim was offered.
Station Wagon, and factory tray back were offered.
There was also the 3.9d based on the Stage 1 Vs, with a Isuzu 4BD1 Engines from September 1981.

Yep, v8.. The bullbar is the one that bolts onto the original bumper, the tray was according to the previous owner a factory option..

Mine was originally a 3.9D. It still has the badges on the sides.
