Not sure if this will help.....
Just measured the OD of the heater wire on my Series III and it's 3.77mm. Tried to find info on the interweb with no luck.

Hello - I'm not finding it easy to buy a full set of leads for my heater plugs (series 3 1975) so I'm thinking of making them myself.
I've tried two places local (Tas) - both don't carry them + one on the mainland (dont carry them) + two places overseas one will supply a set for inbetween the plugs but not from the block to the first plug or from the last plug to the resistor?! The other didnt bother to reply!
What guage wire should I be using ? I've had a look around and there seem to be conflciting suggestions.
Any help greatly appreciated.
thanks
