Finally found half a day to fit new heater plugs - turned the engine over and he fired up and ran fine after about 10 seconds. Not started him for around 8 months. Charging light remains on - from memory I think this means I'm running off the battery only - but I've had no luck tracking this down on the net.


Thanks to everyone who has responded to my questions and given me the confidence to have a go.


Next job I will tackle is taking a look at the fuel sender as I have no reading.


I'm also going to get the wings off as leaning over to get at the engine is doing my Hernia no good at all!
