Thread: S3 dual tank fuel guage

Hi,

My S3 (and I'm sure many others) has dual petrol tanks.
Mine also has a more accurate water temperature guage fitted in the centre dash which makes the standard temp guage redundant (they are inaccurate anyway)
I have taken the standard guage apart and painted the background of the old temp guage black. Then I have written "F" and "E" on the guage along with the fuel level graduations.
My sign writting is not very good but you can get the adea from the photo.
I attached the new wire from the other tank to the redundant temp guage.
as both guage mechanisms are the same the guage works fine.
Now I can tell at a glance how much fuel I have in each tank.
