Great work !! Just gone thru the post ..Nice approach on galvanising major parts.
Gone from too hot to too wet to do much.
I have refitted the seat box and some other bits and pieces and started to think about plumbing the rest of the fuel system. I have several new electric pumps in the shed but I think they would be too high a pressure. I might go ask about a pressure reduction valve to go in the line as I cannot find an electric that goes as low as 1.5 -2.5 lbf in2.
Is anyone running a higher 10-12 lb pump on a little 2.25lt petrol engine?
I run a 6psi Facet pump on my 2.25 petrol. Cost about $45
Works well.
10-12 might be too much for the needle and seat but try it and see.
I spent about 4 hours loosening and adjusting the tub floor rails seatbox and other bits to try to get it to all line up. Started work on the air compressor mount plate so I can refit the air locker compressor and get the plumbing back in. Thinking of using electric selection on the fuel tanks so I can use both sender units.

So while waiting to buy some more bits I stripped the lower dash to see just how bad it is. I think it will repair ok but I don't want to use fibre glass so will set to work with some sheet and a hammer

While playing around with the wiring and getting rid of some of the less original wires I started thinking about fitting fuses to each switched circuit
Would a fuse box like this be ok?

Is this the most suitable spot? I have found a few burnt wires that would not have burnt had they been fused and don't want a repeat of previous issues. THe car was not running because of one of these shorts.
I also started stripping the windscreen frame so I can paint it black ( the Gal glares to much especially at night when spotlighting) and found the glass was stuck in with silastic any ideas on how to get it out without breaking it? It leaks as you can see in the photo and needs sealing properly.

I got mine out by gently pressing on the glass and using a knife to cut the silastic. Got both my screens out this way without any further damage.
I tried a few and finally got a fish filleting knife to slip into the gap. They are now out and I will prep the screen frame for paint tomorrow. Thanks
Stripped the roof with chem stripper today. It rained on me when I had the first application on so I had to go back over some of it. Now comes the slow part of sanding and prep for paint
I have a few dents to fix. Looks like it went down a few tracks where the trees caught you out on the rock and roll.
