Thread: Stage 1 speedo cable

G'day all.
I need a new speedo cable - the one in there now is a one piece very long cable. Apparently the stage 1 is supposed to have a 2 piece cable.
A one piece S3 cable is $18, a 2 piece stage 1 cable is $80.
Can I use the cheaper one?

The major difference between the one piece and the two piece is the year of manufacture of the vehicle.

Up to a certain age, it was the one piece, after that age it was the two piece.

Depends on the type of air filter in the vehicle, I believe, and therefore the length of cable required.


Are you seeing the price for the top of the two piece or both sections?

Is the gearbox connection on the cable you are looking at correct for the LT95 or is it for a series box?
