When you get the replacement part, if it is one from Rarespares (ie from a Ford), you may find you have to re-configure it. Took me a while to work it out. The manufacturer made these to fit a number of different vehicles, and the parts that move the tap can be removed and re-arranged to match the original one in your machine.
This thread:
Series III heater tap
includes a picture of an original Land Rover heater tap as fitted to Australian models with the square heater box on the firewall. You'll soon see that the part you buy has the same components, but arranged differently. It's bit like the difference between a left- and right-handed part.
Have fun,
Coop
Hi Coop,
Thanks for the info.
Pick up the 2.250 motor and gearbox today.
Will see then if the valve is fitted to the 902***** motor.
