    What's this do?

The "tit" between the front lamp switch and the heater switch? Does anyone know what this does - apart from push in and out? Cant find it referenced in the owners handbook or any of the usual suspects. It doesn't appear to do anything on my 75 88 or my 74 109.

Any help as usual gratefully appreciated.
    Cheers,
    D

    Hi Dark,
Mine operates the windscreen washer pump.
If I press it the pump runs.
Will pull out dash tomorrow and tell you what colour wires run to It.

    Thanks for that Mate.
That would make sense as neither of mine have a washer bottle in situ. I had discounted it as something to do with the washer as I thought that was what the washer wiper switch should do when you pushed it in. All very odd , but typical Rover !

    Continuation

    Hello from Brisbane.

The switch is just a continuation of the unit that was fitted to the S2a models that had washers.

Mate - so if both are wired up they would both make the washer motor run? Is that how they left the factory do you think?

    Presumably

    Hello again.

So one would assume. Basically they are meant to operate the washer pump.

    Cheers,
