got those two loud and clear - that's a big bit of bracket isn't it. Is that something you can buy or is that something that's been made up. I'll have to go back and re-read the threads.

I don't quite understand what the top two bolts are attached to + is the middle welded onto the back of the door frame?

    Thanks for the photo's.
    cheers,
    D

    Hello D,

I had a look and prodded around with my fingers and felt what seems to be an angled bracket that is fixed by two vertical bolts in the inside roof channel.

Looking at my Parts Catalogue I would say that they are the following parts ....

The angled bracket 395252 is the bracket that is mounted to the inside roof channel. This is what the two big bolts in the previous photographs are secured to. This link includes a photograph of the bracket itself
    http://www.johnrichardssurplus.co.uk...nt-395252.html

The Parts cluster around 395258 is where the reel is mounted near the fuel spout.

As per the parts catalogue there are more parts associated with these brackets

The bottom bracket is for near the seat box.

I will have a go at posting up the page.

It is really easy for me to work out what is going on because I have them on my vehicle. If I could not see them I would be lost. At least I can work out what I am looking at and how thing go together.

    Kind Regards
    Lionel

ok - the ADU710100 are no good for me.

The ones in the pics on Baldrick are the ones I would go for. I may extend the top of the bracket to attach to the channel. I'll have another look at the parts numbers you have noted.

    Thanks for all your efforts.

    cheers,

    Hello Diana,

I had a look at the page of parts that you posted up earlier for Dark61 and a lot of them are the same parts that I just found in my Series 3 catalogue.

Funny how things change when one knows what one is looking at

    Kind Regards
    Lionel

    Hello D,

Hmmm ... D Not quite - you will still need ADU710100 and its other handed mate ADU710110.

Plus all those other brackets mentioned in my last post.

What I photographed on Baldrick is the main bracket (ADU710100) that holds the seat belt anchor in place.

The other brackets are what holds ADU710100 and its mate ADU710110 in the right place. These little brackets cannot be seen as they are covered up by the main brackets ADU710100 & ADU710110

    Kind Regards
    Lionel

OK - then I am thoroughly confused.

I cant see ADU710110 or ADU710100 in Baldrick. Are you saying they are behind the main brackets - if so - what are the part numbers for the main brackets ?

I just don't get how ADU710110 or 710100 would fit.

    Sorry if I'm sounding thick.
    cheers,
    D

Mate, I ALWAYS feel like a grade A idiot when trying to read parts manuals and diagrams.

I'm generally hopeless unless I can physically see it. Poor Lionel - I reckon I'm trying his patience!
