Some Stage 1 SIII had two speed and UK SIII likewise, but for some reason most Au SIII continued with single speed in spite of ADR and the brochure stating 2 speed. It is merely swapping the original motor for the Stage 1 motor, if you remove the wiper arms, you don't even need to remove the cable out of the motor. Just undo the nut on the cable tube and pull the cable out with the motor still attached. Then feed the other motor and cable back in. However you probably should lubricate the motor mechanism and cable with something like lithium grease.

You can use the two speed switch from the Stage 1 also.

The wiper motor Defender or 110 motor should fit straight on, but I'm not sure of the angle of sweep. Back in 1976 I fitted the 2 speed motor from a Morris Marina, but I had to move the post to give the correct sweep for the series screen, I made it wipe more than standard. I also made my own toggle switch by modifying a headlamp switch.

You can however get two speed wiper toggle switches from Holden Vintage and Classic in the UK. Off-on-on Two Speed Wipers for vintage & classic cars

You may also find them from Anthony Pearson (Classic and Vintage Bulbs) in Adelaide.

The wiring is a bit of a headache, because it uses an active feed to park the wipers. If not electrically minded it is likely best to donor the wiper motor, wiper wiring harness and switch from a Stage 1. Taking note of which wire went where on the switch.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
