    Just bought a series three

Just popped over from the series 2a forum!
Bought this series 3 on Friday and collect her today, straight to Greg Tunstalls in Cleveland to sort out the clutch and brake issues and then get it on the road!
Still don't know if I will keep her or not, love the fact that she's quite rare and a 10 seater but also love my Disco as a daily driver!

Gosh she looks lovely, like mine but without all the crinkly bits!

When they were originally imported, I think they only came with the six cylinder petrol, what does yours have?? Just being nosey, I can't help myself...

I saw this on Gumtree, it was a bit of a steal I reckon. I don't know if you're aware, but it is probably ex-RAN:

The chassis number is 93305126D I think it was built in the UK as it does have the "Land Rover built in Solihull" badge on the back rhs!

The 2nd owner bought her with 19,000km on the clock and filled in a log book detailing everything he bought for her up to 44,000km, it has just over this now.

Would be good to find out a bit more history.

    Hi Mike,
Its got the standard 2250cc petrol in her which was changed a few thousand km ago, from looking at the engine it has the double pulley so I assume its ex Army, reading the notes while the engine was out the PO had the gearbox reconditioned at the same time.
The car just gets better and better, I'm really happy with her and am seriously thinking about using her as a daily driver, she's just so original.

Its the right colour! Also the panel at the front just before the grill is missing which is where a winch was fitted, I got the chassis number from an invoice so we'll have a look at the car when it gets to your place.

Can't wait for H to wave his magic wand at her, she's going to be an absolute cracker.
