Looks like a new cross member lurking in the back.
Interesting the reinforcing Angles on the Front Cross Member.
Was this STD or a later addition I wonder ????

My 1975 series 3 88" has those same angle reinforcings for the crossmembers.

As does my 2a

Thanks and Yeah new crossmember waiting it's turn to be fitted
Those reinforcing angles are standard there should be some on the bell housing crossmember too but it has been butched and another crossmember fitted
Have ordered correct one from uk

Finally got a chance to do some more repairs rebuilt both front dumb irons and one reinforcing angle

Chassis had a repair sometime in its life so thought while at this stage I have a lookafter cutting patch away this is what was under it all repaired but ran out of gas towards the end

dodged a future bullet there, well done!
