Thanks Phil. Talked with brian today and he isnquite busy these days so need the seller to bring the car to him which probably very hard to do.

Do you think getting redbook to inspect is a good idea? At this stage I just need someone to check physically the car like body, chasis, general engine, interior, and getting some more photos.

You could try KLR Automotive in Windsor but you will probably get the same answer
Take it to one of the two though (or somebody who knows old Land Rovers) or you will be on for a world of pain
I took mine to LVR on a trailer
No pain.
Bear in mind that you can drive an unregistered vehicle directly to a licences inspection station which both KLR and LVS are.
Check the RMS website for details of that and temporary rego
Forget red book.
