So I think I'm about to **** off some purists.... sorry

First off sorry in advance lol

So after trying to sell my stage 1 for ages with no success I'm seriously thinking about keeping it and going a different route with it. I have bought another weekend off-road toy and have a new twin cab 4x4 for daily duties. so I really don't need a third 4x4. Iv tried advertising it for what I reckon is a bargain so I refuse to "give" it away.
Over the years Iv owned mini trucks and lowriders on airbag suspension and so on. So I'm now seriously thinking about slamming the stage 1, eventually removing front diff and swapping out the gearbox for a rwd box. Probably notching the rear chassis and raising the rear floor. Possibly even using z-ing the front of the chassis and fitting a Hilux or similar 2wd front chassis clip, using something a bit easier to modify. Then eventually fitting airride....

So Iv seen 1 or 2 on the net and like the look and figure being a v8 itl sound tough.

Anyone know of any done in Australia?
Anyone know where I could find a 4 or 5spd Manuel to bolt up to my 3.5?
Would be interested in my front diff, gearbox, transfer? Possibly even rear diff if you have another diff I can use in the rear if you need the pair for matching ratios....

    Why not.

Borg warner 4 spd manual from a p76 v8 would fit. There is also a few instances of fitting the rv8 into volvo manual etc so not a biggie.

    Slammed landies look good!😎

P6 and SDI Rovers car run the 3.5 lt, some with manual boxes. Your main issue will be that your tail shaft is now in the middle of the car and not offset, so the rear pumpkin needs to be in the middle. Lots of options for that.

Chad (?) on here and several others have built similar. Chad's is a serious drag car. Most have replaced the entire driveline with chev/holden/ford parts though.
There are a bunch of people who have mated rover v8s to celica/supra 5 speeds, as well as hilux 2wd and 4wd boxes. So there should be adaptors out there.

    Hmmmmmmmm.....

Got to say, that looks good.

It would be even better if you could keep it AWD.

Look forward to seeing how you get on with the project. Couple of ideas to get your imagination fired up.
