    PDWA valve

Bit of a question regarding the PDWA valve. Is it acceptable/safe to fit a brake fluid level sensor instead of the PDWA valve?

Vehicle is '74 SWB with dual circuit brakes.

    Cheers,

The PDWA valve is designed to show a light when one circuit fails - the shuttle moves one way or the other and shorts out to ground. It does a completely different job that a low fluid sensor. I believe it should be left in the system.

I even read somewhere it was dangerous to remove it as I went through the same thought process recently when doing the brake lines on mine, but I can't recall where I read this.

I stuck it back in mine.

Got one in my Betsy with the 4 wheel disc setup. Definatly an essential part of a dual circuit system.
