Head Light upgrade

As above. Most people have little concept of how much the light output can be imorived just by fitting relays. Fitting more powerful bulbs without relays will have little improvement because the higher current will mean greater voltage drop - and the light output falls very steeply as the voltage drops below the design voltage.

You can do these relays and also buy an upgrade kit to make the headlights H4 or Halogen - or some other flasher newer technology of headlight. I went up to H4 with relays and I am happy to leave it at that.

With the Traxide conversion - from its description - also by following the directions - you could do the conversion.

Yes.. it's about as easy as auto electrics get. The only hard part it routing the cables.

No, I couldn't, I have no doubt, in fact I'm convinced, that the Traxide loom is the way to go, no doubt about it, but I need an auto elec to do an OE standard instal for me,...so who is out there re auto elecs in Melb, who are familiar with this instal in a Puma?

Hello Pickles,

Oh a "Puma" with electronic black boxes worth a motza. My thinking was towards a Series III - this being a Series thread - where an incorrectly positioned wire means a 50 cent fuse goes to heaven.

Seriously, any competent auto elec who is prepared to listen would do. Tim's stuff is great, but it ain't Voodoo. I like the guys at Maroondah, but Kislyth is a bit of a way for you.

The instructions in the Traxide kit are very good and easy to follow.
