Thread: Door wont open and no key

Hi there and welcome to the forum.

If it's like a lot to of series 3's the window latches may be stuffed - will any of the windows slide open? Once you get a door open, the barrels are easy and cheap to replace.

If you post a pic, we'll also be able to tell you exactly what you have if you're unsure.

The window winds down and up fine, i just dont have the key for the doors, lucky the driver door doesnt have a latch as this is the only door i can open.

The below is a picture of the passenger side door i cannot open.

Unsure if i have a series 3 or if its a 110

From that pic, it looks like a series 3 but with doors from something a bit later. So if you can access the vehicle, can you unlock the passenger door and open it from inside?

Wont open from inside i pull the handle on the inside and it wont move and i try to pull the lock up and it wont move im assuming as the door is locked by key it wont move.

Appears to be a County/Defender door which I am not really familiar with.

However, if the inner door handle/locking mechanism can be accessed and unbolted from the frame, as is the case with any Series door, that is where I would probably start.

Failing that - try a locksmith.
