I have had a Holden one on the S1 for a long time. Made a replacement adaptor for the rocker cover vent and tapped it into the inlet manifold.

Hi all,
I have a 2.25 petrol SIII, which has a blanked off ventilation connection on the oil filler pipe. Only atmospheric ventilation on the rocker cover.
I would like to reinstate positive ventilation, mainly to help reduce the probability and intensity of oil leaks.
So, 2 questions:
1) The original PCV valve is missing and a direct replacement seems to be unobtainable. What do people use as a substitute?
2) Where to you connect to? I guess on the inlet manifold? I have a Solex, which seems not to have provision.
Regards
Mark

Not the usual inlet manifold but you get the idea![]()

As the others say. You could put a PCV valve in the 'Wanted' section, someone may have one. With the Zenith they have an adapter plate sandwiched under the carbie, but I don't think they were fitted to Solex carburettor ones.
The correct plumbing is a vent on the filler neck is plumbed to the PCV, and a hose from the top of the roaker cover vent to the angle pipe above the carburettor. The filler has a sealed cap.
The earlier setup is an oiled filter on both the filler cap and on the top of the rocker cover.
