Will the Puma's air-con fit earlier models?
What I was going to do was adapt an a.c pump from a holden 6, and get one of those old under dash units....then I hardened up [emoji38][emoji38][emoji38] Really it would be an easy job to do. If you had a back wall in the cab you could probably get the temp down to 30° [emoji37][emoji37]

We gave you the info to the questions you asked anything else? (Not trying to sound rude) what engine do you have? If it's a holden 6 you could easily adapt a compressor to it, then either get a defender a.c. kit or get an 80s under dash kit plenty of cars had them. You will need some serious insulation to make it work and a cab wall will help keep the cool in.Quote:

Sorry you feel that way - I have just looked at this thread and there is nothing here that is not helpful. You might not like some of the responses but they are helpful.
Just work through the information provided, noting the stuff you do not consider relevant and taking up the information you need. But other than giving a pic of what you are aiming for and a question about A/c and wheels, you really have not asked many questions.
If you want your vehicle to look like the one in the pic then it is mainly paint and doors and a front off a County or Defender. An after market A/C could be made to fit and you could put in Defender seats etc - there may be engineering etc - what about engines, transmission, brakes and suspension - what are oyu intentions there - you have not said.
Ask away but dont be sensitive to the responses - if you want the answers you want to hear then there was no point in asking - if you are a bit miffed by a response - a simple thanks and move on to the next is all that is required.

Sorry you are not finding the answers helpful, some of us have been there, and speak from experience.
This is my 'Modernised" Series 2A 109 about 1984 , Fibreglass bonnet & 110 front ,, Obviously Defender parts were not available at wreckers back then. Toyota FJ55 Axles , P76 V8 and LT95 .
Top Photo fell over near woods point.
Middle Photos is, believe it or not , East Doncaster ! Patina on Front wing appears to be from the rollover.
Bottom photo Im replacing a broken Engine mount at Mount Isa Caravan Park (same car with hardtop fitted)
