New RDA Brake Drums? For Series 2A 109 Four Cylinder

    Hello All,

Just wondering whether anyone has come across a brake drum manufacturer called RDA?

If so did you buy any of their brake drums for your Series 2A or 3?
    Were you happy with them?
    Would you buy them again?

If "No" for all of the above" which company would you buy new brake drums through and which manufacturer?

    Kind regards
    Lionel

Britpart/Bearmach are most probably Indian so difficult to know who to use.

Chinese/Indian doesn't automatically mean problems or poor quality. I've fitted several sets of Chinese rotors to different Ford Territories I've owned without issue.
The only suggestion is buy 'local' because if you get problems it's easier to deal with a local supplier.

Clutch & Brake Australia were looking into drums from Europe for me. It was a while back and I'm not sure I've still got the part number. The fact that they come from Europe doesn't tell me where they are actually made......!

You can choose Britpart or 'Genuine' here :-

Don't know where Land Rover would source them though and there is a significant Land Rover tax added.

So far I've been lucky and have only had to have drums skimmed although the company in Dandenong that skimmed the last set have now shut down !

Nothing wrong with RDA brake parts, I would suggest 25% of all cars on the road in Australia have RDA components.

Ive never had an issue with RDA parts and are my first choice for my F250 Disc brake retrofit to Iveco 4x4.
Though I have not bought their Series drums but I would certainly buy them before Britpart etc.

Some people differ on that opinion

In saying that a very large majority of Rotors & Drums , Pads are manufactured in China .

Anything manufactured in China it really depends what plant manufactured them as some are crap and some are very good quality (Lucky dip)
