    Winch cradle.

Anybody have a set of drawings or similar for a winch cradle for a SIII? I'm no fabricator, but I know someone who can build stuff to a plan.

    Hi John.
    Maybe modify one of these,

XBULL Universal Steel Winch Mounting Plate Mount Cradle 8000lb-14500lb Truck 4WD | eBay

I did think about adding fitting, and get one of these, Then front or rear fitted.

For my 2a, I made a mounting system out of cardboard then gave it to the boily at work. It ended up being a flat, 6mm plate with four holes drilled in it to mount the winch and a length of 40 X 40 SHS the same length as the internal width of the chassis welded to the bottom to add rigidity and to stop deflection under winch load.

I ordered one of those from that seller last year.
    It never turned up.
I had to launch a Paypal dispute to get my money back.

I think one of these would work well though. (Maybe try a different seller)
