Thanks for all the folks helping with this, I now installed a ballast resistor and all is working like a dream....
I could not resist to drive a little, put a bit of timber where the tanks are as they are not installed. Put the fuel hose in a jerry can and off we went..... 3 meters backward, let it sit idling for a while so we could check it over.
What we noticed is that the manifold seal is leaking at the head..... sheit.... I guess I have to take that one off now.... sigh....
Anyway... progress is made.
PS... Question.....
Can the ballast resistor be installed under the hood or does it need to be in a water proof environment......

Under hood is fine and it will get quite warm so avoid anything touching it eg: wiring,hoses etc
