Series III blowing white smoke!! please help

Hello, my 2.25 petrol SIII has recently started to blow white smoke out the exhaust when I accelerate. The smoke is not sweet smelling and my coolant isn't dropping so don't think its a coolant leak but it smells more like unburnt fuel. does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? thanks Will

I recently topped up my brake fluid just before it started to smoke as it was getting low but the brake booster is almost brand new. how does a leaking brake booster make white smoke in the engine?

It sounds like brake booster to me , If it is a PBR booster you an check by unplughin the valve in the vacuum hose were it plugs into the body of the booster then feed something onto the hole to use as a dip stick that will reach the bottom of the chamber, (MAKE SURE IT IS NOT TOO HARD OR SHARP) if there is brake fluid on that side of the diaphragm then it is the problem . Other than that you could remove the vacuum hose from the valve & block it so there is no vacuum going to the booster & it is not sucking any air then go for a drive & the smoke should stop remembering that you will have no power assistance . The only other things I can think of if for some reason it is running very , very lean or a blocked muffler.
