Now there is also an old Garmin street finder fitted above the dash,which helps with speed as well.
We modified the cig lighter plug to two plugs that plug into the LR sockets on the dash.
It is actually the very first model Garmin street finder that appeared on the market,i used it for many years in my work van.
I used to use the dash sockets in the 2a to plug in a cigarette lighter socket for this sort of thing. Until I destroyed a small inverter by getting the polarity wrong. Be careful to get them in the right sockets.
Several years ago I added a set of four lighter sockets and two USB sockets clamped upright against the side of the cover for the wiper motor (later S2a).
