Hi guys I just bought a ‘73 series 3 shorty and it’s my first Landrover (love it!) been sitting out bush for at least 10years so I have a fair bit to do to get it up and running/rego

where’s the best place to get mechanical parts online and shipped here in oz?

what about window seal and rubbers etc?

I hesitate to recommend anywhere as 'best'. I try first All Four X 4 in Newcastle, and there are other local suppliers. Some get supplies direct from UK vendors and are happy with this.

I suggest that you spend a bit of time just browsing the forums here to see how others have gone. Note that there are threads in the Series Land Rovers forum without going into the subforums, and a recent one that will probably interest you is the one on door seals.

Also note that many parts are common between Series 3 and 3/2a, and some are common with Series 1, so these forums are also useful (and not just for sourcing parts).
