This one: Radiator Cap (Steel), 9psi - KLR Automotive ?
I'd ask before ordering.Steel radiator cap (the "traditional" type) to suit 110 V8, and all Perentie 4x4 and 6x6. Also suits most Series vehicles.
Hello from Brisbane.
Silly as it may sound I’m having trouble finding a radiator cap for my 1975 88” 2.25litre petrol at the usual suspects - Repco, Supercheap, Autobarn etc. I bought a new radiator a few years ago - later thinner profile type - which I recently fitted. It’s needs a radiator cap.
So, I casually wandered by my local Repco and then subsequently the other two outlets nearby thinking that it wouldn’t be too much trouble picking up a cap. Well that was optimistic - they all do their little dance on the computer and all came up with the same answer - nothing fits your description…. Ditto Tridon’s website.
So, here’s me wondering how come in Australia’s third largest city you can’t find a radiator cap for what was once the most common four wheel drive on the road? Sure a few of the “specialist” Rover parts places advertise availability of the right cap but that requires postage of about the same amount as the price. Guess that isn’t the issue here so much as how come something as simple as a radiator cap would be so difficult to track down at the normal auto parts outlets?
Anyway, I’d be happy to know the model number of the correct Tridon cap if anyone happens to know it.
That’s my therapeutic moan for this Monday out of the way. I’ll leave the topic of finding colour traced auto wire for next week.
Cheers,
Neil

Thanks.
Yes, you can get them from some of the specialists - Landybitz, All 4x4 etc subject to postage and handling - but my rant was more directed at why can’t you get something that simple over the counter from the usual chain parts fettlers? None of those that I went to on Friday could even identify the correct part.
I was actually there to get some spring clips for the brake vacuum hose and radiator overflow hoses and got the same story - don’t stock even though they sell fuel filters.
