Hi Everyone,
I'm pulling my '76 SWB out of a 2 year slumber this weekend and need a new battery.
I don't always trust the 'Find your part' web pages for old vehicles so I thought I'd ask for recommendations here.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

If you've benefited from one or more of my posts please remember, your taxes paid for my skill sets, I'm just trying to make sure you get your monies worth.
If you think you're in front on the deal, pay it forwards.
I've used N70ZZ's on Series Land Rovers as well as the Defender.
Next comes your choice of manufacturer and everyone will have their own ideas.
I've had a good run from Delkor batteries, fortunately one of my boys is in the Automotive trade so I now get trade price. Not the cheapest but always lasted 8 years plus.

Agree with the above. The 2.25 petrol Series 3 is not demanding on the battery, so any battery this size will work well. The quality - or price - of the battery will most likely affect how long before you need to replace it again, but not to the same extent ass not using the vehicle.

I keep my older vehicles that only get used couple of times a year on solar chargers, have been getting up to 12years out of the batteries & they always start. I have been buying Lion Batteries.
Much appreciated, everyone.
I'll pick one up today.
It needed a new battery before I stopped driving it anyway. The one that was in it when I bought it 8 years ago was well below what's recommended, an LM51C
