when we lived in Melbs (and right through all the lockdowns) you could ring ahead and pick up parts at their warehouse. Maybe that's changed but it was very handy for stuff I needed unexpectedly.

Actually, the time I dropped in she helped me, but she said she was busy filling orders. So maybe the phone call would still work.

Much thanks everyone for your answers to my parts suppliers problem. (Which obviously shouldn't be a problem at all)! I'm in N.E Tas but , all good, was not expecting to find a local supplier. About to ring mechanic.....
