Hi, I've got a Series 2A with Series 3 running gear. I've fitted a new speedo cable and speedo.
I've jacked to Land Rover up and run it in gear and I can confirm the cable inside the speedo cable turns OK.
Then connected as per photo below.

I think I might not be connecting the cable correctly to the speedo, assuming this is the reason the speedo still doesn't work.
Any tips on connecting the cable to the speedo would be appreciated.
Steve

Thanks for getting back on this issue, I've got a Bearmach cable on order from the UK so I'll see how that one goes.
It's a shame vendors are still selling these cables if there are known issues.

I've got a Bearmach cable in my S3 SWB daily.
No issues after 5 years and 35,000klms.

Sounds like the Bearmach should do the trick then.
So the Bearmach cable arrived from Paddock Spares, the actual cable was longer at the speedo end, fitted it and everything worked as expected.
Now to try and get my money back on the useless Britpart cable.
