    gearbox oil leaks

    I am about to rebuild my next series 3 gearbox my first box that I did, I said there would be NO!! oil leaks famous last words. Does anyone have any advice on this issue I would love to acheive the ultimate goal, a land rover with no leaks.

    dont put any oil fuel or coolant in it.

    Make sure you use the relevant gaskets, or make them using good gasket material, use loctite gasket stuff (expensive but worth it), & ensure you torque bolts to specification.
