    Replacment footwell

After having a good poke about have found the passengers foot well has a bit of rot going on where the inner mud sheild bolts on. Just looking through a landy mag I saw that I can get a new foot well. Anyone know if that is just the alloy pannel in front of the seat box or the steel part that rivets on to the firewall? Does anyone in oz stock them or will it be ex UK.

    Cheers

G'day All, Footwells are made of steel, and they are available from the usual suspects in Melbourne. The footwells are attached to the b/head by spot welds hope that helps cheers Dennis
PS Some people just use an angle grinder and cut out the old and weld in the new using a mig/welder, so I suppose it depends on how original you want to keep it looking, and it would be easier to remove the b/head off the chassis too.

Thanks for that just what I needed to know. I intend on getting it relicenced as its in fairly good nick otherwise and will need to go over the pits so not sure if a patch would let it pass.

Four Wheel Drives in Box Hill, Melbourne. Probably also available from any other Landrover specialists (not dealers).

Just removed the old foot well today was pretty easy just removed the guard and drilled out the old spot welds and poped it out. Just need to clean up some surface rust and wait for the new one.

    G'Day Randylandy

    Have you ordered the footwells?

If you have could you provide the details and price? I have to fit a couple myself very soon.

    Cheers Andy.
