I am only going down this route because I am fitting race seats andn because the seat box is so bad I will be making a new on from 3mm plate.

So I thought bugger it if I do that I make a tunnel cover at the same time.

Its just a real pain that my autocad at home is stuffed so I have to do all the drawing at work hence the mock up shots.

I will post a shot of the seat box soon

Got more done over the weekend, removed back seat and all belts, removed all drive shafts, remove wiring away from gearbox ready for cleaning.

The gearbox is leaking oil alot (inside brake drum and down l/h side) I will post pics tonight but any ideas??

Hopefully by sunday the axles and springs will be off too

No not yet Brian but it was a bargain

Here are some pics of the oily gearbox looks like the rear seal in the transfere is gone and also the seal between the transfer case and gearbox (the hose)

Would these seals be hard to replace and would anyone know the part numbers??

Have not done much lately but here is a small update

    Rear diff out

Front diff and bull bar out

    Shot from the back

    From the front

Old brackets from the winch which will be removed

Every single bolt had to be cut and also the hangers as well

So can someome out there let me know the distance from hole to hole on the standard hangers

All this is for the conversion hopefully by christmas but I dought it

Hangers are a standard item and not too expensive. Probably cheaper (time, etc.) to just buy some new ones, plus bolts and bushes at the same time. And while you're at it now is a good time to reset the springs.

WOW I have not done anything for awhile but soon that will change.

Over the last month or 2 I have put the diffs and wheels back under the stage 1 and got it mobile again.
I will be taking the body off it over the easter period and putting it onto this

Yep thats a 110 chassis (85) (Thanks Bojan)

I will then be installing a 3.5 injected engine from a Rangie (Thanks taff) and discovery axles and braking system.

I have also been looking into vintage air ac systems to give heating and cooling + I will install custom dash and a winch bar
