    Windscreen Not Fitting

The windscreen is not lining up with firewall. It needs to be moved 6mm to drivers side in relation to fire wall. I am thinking to bend the hinge arms at the 5/16" thread section. Has anybody had this problem and how did you fix it?.......thanks Pat.

This is a problem that shouldn't happen unless there has been welding on the firewall of something is bent.

Have you tried turning the support posts on the screen 180 degrees as they are slightly sided.

Then check for bending of the support posts and correct it if necessary heat and straighten. I would avoid bending a straight post, rather I wound machine off the face of one post and add washers to the other.

Hi Diana, the firewall is a goodie no welding no rust square and true, (I checked the diagonals etc before painting). However I just measured the windscreen support posts that are welded to the firewall from outside to outside and as follows:- Top to Top 1465mm. Bottom to Bottom 1468 mm.
They dont appear to be bent but who knows? I have 6 hinge arms to choose from of which no two are identical. I have selected the best pair to achieve he best off set but no luck. Did they just bodgy the windscreen fit up on the assy line the same as they did for door gap fit?
    Thanks Pat.
