Ring Newcastle brake across the road from Klosters. I find them very good and they will fix the problems.

You are having a huge amount of frustration.

The pedal is hard all the time, yet you can bleed the brakes and the adjusters, springs and shoes are all correct ???????

Does it move freely when the booster is not connected?

Did the brakes work (even poorly) before you began the overhaul?

Have you changed anything like the push rod between the pedal and the booster?

Is there a brake balance shuttle valve and is that correct, not blocking one system or needs to be re-set?

I would like to suggest that the problem is that the colour scheme is too loud....

... but that would not be helpful right now!

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

my money is on the atmo vent is blocked so you're getting no assist. try this....

remove the vac line from its source and bleed off any residual vac have someone push on and hold the brakes and then put the vac on you will get a very slight movement of the pedal (but no where near as much as you would if all was normal)

when you find that thats the case, remove the booster and clean the paint + tape residue from the atmo vent (in most cases its around where the pushrod enters the booster)

if your brakes are bleed correctly the only place your fault can lie is in the booster or its vac supply. (after 2+l of fluid They'd want to be) the grub screw thats fitted to some boosters is there for diagnostics + vac supply to old school vac trailer brakes.
