All swb were four cylinder, and the swb and lwb four cylinder firewalls were identical. So the answer is, yes, it should be OK, unless it was modified to fit the Holden engine (unlikely, although it may have a few strange holes drilled in it, which could happen with any old firewall anyway).

This is a 4 cyl firewall you can tell because the section around the gearbox is very different on the 6 cyl models the only problem I can see with this firewall is that it has the gutter only over the wiring holes instead of the full piece. I don't know why Rover did this.

I don't remember ever seeing this - I wonder if it has been modified for some reason? Although I can't imagine why. I'll have to have a look at a few firewalls and see if there are any like it!

This is a bean counter issue, the lack of a gutter was a problem in the 1st 1500 or so production Land Rovers so the gutter was added.

In the forward controls they never bothered to modify the gutter so the water runs over the footwells and rusts them as time progressed they remove more and more to save a few cents!

The firewall will fit as others suggest.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Yes my early series 3 has the gutter sections just over the wiring holes, its a 1973 model not that that means the fire wall is . But hope that helps.

I have seen heaps with this gutter, I stayed away from them because they didn't seem to keep water out of the engine bay very well.

It should not be a problem. I drilled the spot welds on My S1 and plug welded the drip rail on to the new panel,
