    I agree 100%.
    They are only there to stop the shocks from being broken due to their travel being shorter than the leaf spring.
    Fit Defender shocks (on a 109)and the issue is fixed

    If your shocks are strong enough they should have no problems. My front shocks have been limiting my travel for 15 years. In that time I snapped one shock.
